For those students who like to have face to face contact with their trainer, you can choose to participate in study days that may be hosted by your trainer.
What does your trainer do for you?
Trainers may offer a series of study days to
complement your Childbirth International training program. A
study day is usually held on the weekend and is hosted by the
trainer. Students are invited to participate and cover specific
topics that relate to the training course as well as the unique
issues that are relevant to the women in your community.
Trainers advertise the study days directly to
their students. If you are not yet a Childbirth International
student, you may participate in one study day
to get a taste of Childbirth International training.
Childbirth International students may attend as many study days
as they would like at the student and
graduate price. Study days are charged separately from
the Childbirth International training courses and payment is
directly to the trainer.
"Great support. When learning from home you tend to feel lost. That wasn't the case here between my trainer and my online group I always felt connected. And what a great group of woman to have as support." - Susan, Pennsylvania
What is covered on a study day?
Each trainer sets the topics for her study
days. They may focus on specific aspects of the course such as
hands on doula skills, managing grief and loss, or working with
women who are having high risk pregnancies.
