Frequently Asked Questions
Do you recognise previous experience?
Your previous experience can be enormously
beneficial in your training as a birth professional.
Perhaps you have completed other doula training programs, or been
working as a Birth Doula for some time. Perhaps you have experience as a
nurse or a physiotherapist. Whatever your experience or previous
training, it can help to understand some of the concepts covered in your
birth professional training.
Because Childbirth International training is unique in
its focus on reflective practice, communication skills and understanding
of evidence-based care, we do not offer credits for prior experience or
training. We do however value the contribution that every student brings
to Childbirth International in terms of their knowledge and previous
experiences and how these benefit all students in being able to share
different points of view.
